The Piano Section is organized as follows:
- 4th grade - young pianists who are students in 4th grade in the current school year*) – 10-11 years
- 5th grade - young pianists who are students in 5th grade in the current school year*) – 11-12 years
- 6th grade - young pianists who are students in 6th grade in the current school year*) – 12-13 years
- 7th grade - young pianists who are students in 7th grade in the current school year*) – 13-14 years
- 8th grade - young pianists who are students in 8th grade in the current school year*) – 14-15 years
- 9th grade - young pianists who are students in 9th grade in the current school year*) – 15-16 years
- 10th grade - young pianists who are students in 10th grade in the current school year*) – 16-17 years
- 11th grade - young pianists who are students in 11th grade in the current school year*) – 17-18 years
- 12th grade - young pianists who are students in 12th grade in the current school year*) – 18-19 years
*) Given the fact that educational systems differ from country to country, and in Romania 4th grade corresponds to the 4th year of study, for competitors from outside Romania, we make an equivalence in years to ensure the equity of the competitor group levels.
